JUAN ANTONIO MARTINEZ

Alto Sax

Juan Antonio Martínez combines the role of teaching saxophone with a personal playing and a great talent to make arrangements for different line-ups. He has participated in several musical projects, including studio recordings and live performances with some of the most important Asturian names, like Nacho Vegas, Edwin Moses or Koniec. He also has been saxophone soloist with Concert Bands like Madrid or Gijón. He has performed in some important venues, including Madrid, Paris, Prague, Seul or Tokyo.

He's the conductor and main arranger of Gigia Sax Band since 2009, an ensemble formed mainly by young players to get experience in live performances and improve their improvisation skills.
